What is Chandrayaan-3?

Chandrayaan-3 is the third lunar exploration mission planned by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). It is intended as a follow-up to the Chandrayaan-2 mission, which consisted of an orbiter, lander, and rover.
How Chandrayaan-3 is different from Chandrayaan-2?
Dr S. Somnath (Chairman of the ISRO) said in an interview given to the media- "Chandrayaan-3 is similar to Chandrayaan-2 in terms of its architecture, scintific objective and mission". He also said that team has analysed the failure of Chandrayaan-2 and came to a conclusion that Chandrayaan-2 landing was failed due to software error. Dr S. Somnath said - "It was an error sitting in the software. The error sitting in the software will always not be triggered. There are certain conditions that derives it to occur".
What is the objective of Chandrayaan-3 mission?
The primary objective of Chandrayaan-3 is similar to its predecessor, is to further explore the lunar surface and gather scientific data. It aims to enhance India's understanding of the Moon's geology, mineralogy, and the presence of water ice. Chandrayaan-3 will target the lunar south pole, similar to its predecessor, Chandrayaan-2.
